Why are Good Manufacturing Practices Important?
Good Manufacturing Practices in any industry are especially important. Kratom is an herb from Southeast Asia that can get contaminated easily if proper handling and procedures are not followed. We are proud to have passed our 5th independent audit since 2019. This is an extensive on site audit of all standard operating procedures and testing results.
A quality product is the result of proper GMP practices. High quality products come at a cost, but the cost for purchasing kratom should not be unattainable.
Buy kratom online from trusted sources and do not mess around with quality and safety! A 3rd party type of audit is necessary to ensure that there are not any special privileges given to a certain company or organization. Nothing is worse than finding out you have worked hard to do the right thing and others did not.
The audit should include a review of the processes used to extract and process speciosa products, as well as the facility’s quality control measures. This will help to ensure that it is free from contaminants, and that proper safety and hygiene protocols are being followed. Additionally, the audit should include a review of the company’s supply chain management system, to ensure that the mitragyna speciosa is obtained from reliable sources.
3rd Party Audit
The audit should check how the company treats customers and handles their problems promptly, making sure they are treated respectfully. By meeting these standards, companies in the industry can ensure that their product is of the highest quality.
3rd Party lab testing is equally important to ensure that different lab results match up for the final batch release. Our business processes have been stringent since we first started. We may not have the money to advertise, but we have the best kratom and customer service.
The audit should check the company’s quality assurance and control processes to make sure the product meets industry standards. It should also check how the company makes and packages kratom to make sure it is handled and stored correctly.
Furthermore, the audit should include a review of the company’s compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), to ensure that the speciosa is produced in a safe and hygienic environment. We are advocates and kratom consumers, so we want the best quality and cleanest kratom we can find.
Numerous kratom products are randomly picked and then scrutinized. All documentation from start to finish must be available. If any documents are missing, there will be an automatic failure. Each finished product must have documentation from the time the raw kratom was received until the time it arrives in the customers hands.
This is a compact list of some of the documentation and processes that are audited each year by a 3rd party.
Audit Documentation
- Master Manufacturing Records
- Product Testing & Release Testing
- Employee Training
- Mock Recall Training
- Warning Labels and Age Disclaimer
- Standard Operating Procedures (sop documentation)
- Batch Production Records
- Facilities Sanitation & Pest Control
- Customer Complaints
- Supplier verification
This is just a brief list of what we have audited by a 3rd party. We have always been very transparent, and we live and breathe it. In 2016 we started this journey, and we will never back down!
This audit is no different from any other 3rd party internal audit. We choose to stick with the American Kratom Association and support the work that they have done over the years. The AKA GMP Program is just a small part of what the AKA does each and every day.
American Kratom Association GMP Program
The American Kratom Association is a consumer group which supports kratom and not kratom companies. Companies may support the American Kratom Association through the GMP program, but the AKA is a consumer group first and foremost.
The main goal of the AKA is consumer protection! The GMP audit is close to what the (KCPA) or Kratom Consumer Protection Act requires by law. We are a bit extra, and we go overboard with safety and testing requirements just to make sure.
Safety First
When it comes to safety, we have always been firm believers in the idea that you can never do too much. We prioritize the well-being and security of our employees, customers, and stakeholders above all else. As a result, our approach to safety measures and protocols is comprehensive and goes above and beyond industry standards.
One of the ways in which our commitment to safety is evident is through our higher general cost for doing business. While some may view this as a disadvantage, we see it as an investment in the well-being of everyone involved with our company. We allocate a significant portion of our budget towards implementing and maintaining top-notch safety measures, equipment, and training programs.
To back up our claims, we have extensive testing binders that serve as concrete evidence of our dedication to safety. These binders contain detailed records of various safety tests, inspections, and audits that we have conducted over the years. They showcase our commitment to ensuring that every aspect of our operations meets or exceeds safety regulations and industry best practices.
But talk is cheap, and we firmly believe that actions speak louder than words. That’s why we say, “the proof is in the pudding.”
Our safety record speaks for itself. We have consistently maintained a stellar safety track record, with minimal accidents, incidents, or injuries occurring within our organization. This is a testament to the effectiveness of our safety protocols and the diligence of our employees in adhering to them.
In conclusion, our dedication to safety goes beyond mere compliance with regulations. We go the extra mile to ensure that our employees and stakeholders feel secure and protected in every aspect of their interactions with our company. Our higher general cost for doing business is a reflection of this commitment, and our testing binders provide tangible evidence of our efforts. Ultimately, our impeccable safety record is the true testament to the effectiveness of our safety measures.
We added warnings to our packages in 2019. We believe that people should read up about kratom or any herbs that they are taking and putting into their bodies.
I spent approximately half a year researching kratom before I decided to give it a try. My spouse, on the other hand, studied it for around a year and observed me closely for any potential problems. As someone who struggles with chronic conditions, I was keen to comprehend the long-term implications of kratom use. I’ve been using it since 2015 and I’ve never felt better.
Kratom Audits
Our commitment to conducting Kratom Audits is unwavering, and we intend to carry out these audits for many years to come. These audits play a crucial role in ensuring that we remain vigilant and compliant with all relevant regulations and guidelines. By having an external party review our operations, we benefit from an additional perspective and expertise, which helps us identify any areas that may require improvement or adjustment.
In addition to the ongoing Kratom Audits, we have taken proactive steps to further enhance consumer protection. We have filed the New Jersey Kratom Consumer Protection Act, a comprehensive legislation aimed at safeguarding the interests and well-being of kratom consumers in the state. This act encompasses various provisions and regulations that will ensure the quality, safety, and transparency of kratom products available in the market.
While we have taken the initiative to file the New Jersey Kratom Consumer Protection Act, we are currently awaiting its passage into law. This bill represents a significant milestone in our efforts to establish a robust regulatory framework for the kratom industry. Once passed, it will provide a solid foundation for consumer protection, ensuring that all kratom products meet stringent quality standards and are accurately labeled.
By combining the ongoing Kratom Audits with the potential enactment of the New Jersey Kratom Consumer Protection Act, we are demonstrating our unwavering commitment to the well-being and satisfaction of our customers. These measures not only enable us to maintain compliance with existing regulations but also empower us to go above and beyond in ensuring the safety and quality of our kratom products. We firmly believe that these initiatives will contribute to the overall growth and credibility of the kratom industry, fostering trust and confidence among consumers.
The New Jersey Department of Health and The Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC)
The New Jersey Department of Health will regulate kratom. Before the Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) took over, the Medical cannabis program in New Jersey was regulated by the Department of Health. This program aimed to provide access to medical marijuana for patients in need, ensuring that it was produced, distributed, and used in a safe and controlled manner.
However, the regulatory landscape surrounding cannabis is constantly evolving, and the CRC was established to further oversee and regulate the industry. With the CRC taking charge, there is an expectation of more comprehensive and specialized regulations that will govern the cultivation, manufacturing, testing, and distribution of cannabis products in New Jersey.
In a similar vein, the American Kratom Association (AKA) has recognized the need for regulation in the kratom industry. Kratom, a plant native to Southeast Asia, has gained popularity in the United States for its potential medicinal properties. However, concerns have been raised about the quality and safety of kratom products, leading to calls for regulation.
To address these concerns, the AKA has developed the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program. This program aims to establish industry standards and guidelines for kratom manufacturers, ensuring that their products are produced in a safe and consistent manner. By adhering to these standards, kratom companies can demonstrate their commitment to quality and safety, potentially paving the way for greater acceptance and regulation of the industry.
Despite these efforts, the battle to save the kratom industry is ongoing. Advocates and supporters of kratom continue to share their personal stories and experiences, highlighting the potential benefits of this natural substance. By raising awareness and engaging in advocacy, they hope to shape public opinion and influence policymakers to consider the positive impact that regulated kratom access can have on individuals in need.
In conclusion, both the Medical cannabis program in New Jersey and the American Kratom Association GMP program are examples of efforts to prepare for the reality of regulation. While the CRC takes over the regulation of medical cannabis in New Jersey, the AKA’s GMP program aims to establish industry standards for kratom manufacturers. However, the fight to save these industries continues, and individuals are encouraged to share their stories to support these causes.
Conclusion
We will follow all the rules and regulations put forth by the New Jersey Department of Health to ensure that our kratom products are safe and of the highest quality. We take safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction extremely seriously, and we will continue to do so in the future. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of kratom, and we strive to provide our customers with the best possible kratom experience.
We do not mess around with safety and take the kratom business very seriously. GMP Audits are a way to ensure customers and ensure that we are doing everything necessary to protect consumers.
We want to make sure that we always do our best for kratom. Meaning we will never give kratom a bad name. We have done kratom right since 2016. Even if we have seemed to disappear from the internet. We are here for you! We are Kratom!
