During my recent visit to Denver, I had a unique and valuable opportunity to engage in a discussion about Mitragyna Speciosa, commonly known as kratom, with two legislators from Arkansas. As I approached this conversation, I was uncertain about its outcome, unsure of how receptive the legislators would be to my perspective. However, I decided to share my personal experience and engage in an open dialogue about the future of this botanical substance.
As I sat down with the legislators, I began by sharing my own story, emphasizing how kratom had positively impacted my life. I discussed the challenges I had faced and the limited effectiveness of traditional options. I explained how, after extensive research and consultation with professionals, I discovered mitragyna speciosa as a natural alternative that provided me with much-needed relief.
To foster a productive conversation, I made sure to address any concerns or misconceptions the legislators might have had about Mitragyna Speciosa. I highlighted the importance of responsible use, proper dosage, and the need for regulation to ensure product quality and consumer safety. I also emphasized the significance of education and awareness campaigns to promote informed decision-making among potential kratom users.

Is kratom legal in Arkansas?
Arkansas banned kratom in 2015 and is a schedule I Narcotic, so I was a bit intimidated at first.
These two gentlemen had never heard of Mitragyna Speciosa, but after talking for a few hours they wanted samples and wanted to learn more. These men wanted to know how long I have used our wonderful plant and if I had any side effects. They were very intrigued and did not understand why it was banned in Arkansas.
I explained to them that there were deaths in Sweden from krypton laced with O-Desmethyltramadol and it was not the speciosa itself that caused the deaths. They were shocked that this issue had not been addressed and that if the kratom did not cause the deaths and it was O-Desmethyltramadol that caused the deaths then why is it still banned?
These are the moments that can change many things. We never know who we are going to bump into during our day. Plus, we do not know who some people are that we bump into, or what kind of influence they may have on what happens in the future. Being open and honest about how Mitragyna Speciosa products have made our lives better is the one thing that resonates with people.
We are the examples of how Mitragyna Speciosa helps people. Others are watching to see how consumers act and respond. Are we level in our speech? Do we offend people when we talk?
These are the things that we need to be mindful of in our discussions about it with people who are either not familiar or have heard negative news about kratom.
Marshall Price
Marshall Price’s tragic story highlights the urgent need for the reversal of kratom laws. This not only exposes them to potential health risks but also denies them the opportunity to access a natural remedy that could greatly improve their well-being.
Reversing kratom laws is crucial for several reasons. This would significantly reduce the risk of contamination and other health hazards associated with black market kratom.

By lifting the restrictions, scientists and medical professionals could explore its properties more comprehensively, leading to a better understanding of its effects and potential applications.
Lastly, reversing kratom laws would respect individual autonomy and freedom of choice. Adults should have the right to make informed decisions about their own health and well-being, including the use of natural remedies like kratom. Prohibition only serves to limit these choices and perpetuate a one-size-fits-all approach to healthcare.
In conclusion, Marshall Price’s tragic experience underscores the urgent need to reverse kratom laws. This death should have never occured and kratom should have never been banned. It was banned because of misinformation. SAD!
